The USC Marshall School of Business has positioned itself as a global center of business education and research. Its faculty members are widely recognized for their excellence in teaching, prolific publication in major academic journals and frequent citation of their work by fellow scholars.

 

The LA Metro MBEC is partnering with the Marshall School of Business to provide services to the minority business community.  This partnership has allowed students in the MBA program and at the undergraduate level the opportunity to apply the concepts they learn in the classroom to real life situations and gain valuable client facing experience.

 

The LA Metro MBEC has actively sought out qualified clients for students in high growth sectors such as technology for MBA students and more stable manufacturing concerns for undergraduates.  In addition, the LA Metro MBEC will be mindful of the client segments to ensure that companies assigned to MBA students have been in business for 2-3 years, generate significant sales, and are on a growth path.

 

To date, the LA Metro MBEC has facilitated over 50 client matches with student groups resulting in a number of deliverables including business plans, marketing plans and strategy reports.
